The website will have just about everything you can think of that you would want online as a sewer. There are forums, online advice from industry experts, conversion charts, colour wheels, free patterns and class listings.
There will be interviews with all your favourite designers, quilters, pattern makers and authors. There will be tutorials with me and with other sewers from here and overseas, podcasts and coverage from shows and articles about all manner of exciting things.
In honor of the SEWN Launch Party, I am hosting a GIVEAWAY! Yippee!! Hmm, what should it be this time? How about another charm pack, plus a yard of fabric and a pattern? I think that sounds pretty good, That will be just enough to make an adorable table runner just in time for Christmas. And even better, since I know people have different tastes, I'll give you a choice either:
Figgy Pudding by Basic Grey for Moda (my favorite so far) or
Glace by 3 Sisters for Moda (a very close second.)
And remember, I'll add a yard of coordinating fabric and the pattern for a cute table runner. Now I think that's a giveaway that can't be beat! This giveaway has a pretty loooong time for entering, since the "rules" on Sarah's blog say we will announce the winner on Monday, June 8 (about the time that the SEWN website is set to launch.) Here are some ways you can enter my drawing:
1. Become a follower of this blog.
2. Visit Crafty Girls Workshop and see the cute aprons, pillows, pillowcase kits, and baby items we have for sale (and hopefully buy something but no purchase is necessary.)
3. Comment on this blog to tell me your favorite charm pack (of the two above) and something about yourself.
4. Post about this giveaway on YOUR blog, and add the link in the comment for this blog.
5. If someone visits your blog and comes to this blog and enters and tells me they came here from your blog, I'll give you an extra entry!
Whew, that's a lot to keep track of. Hopefully it will make it extra fun though!
Oh, and I'm not the only one participating in the giveaway madness. Sarah has a ton of links on her blog to all the other people who are helping celebrate her new adventure. So go over there and visit her blog (after you've entered here) to see what else you can enter to win!
Happy Stitches to You,
The Crafty Girls
NOTE: PLEASE PLEASE give me your e-mail address in your comment as well, since I will need to notify the winner by e-mail. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteI enjoyed looking around on the etsy site. The vintage apron is pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the Figgy Pudding! And I do not own any Christmas fabric and that is a shame! ;)
ReplyDeleteI think I like Figgy Pudding too. Glace is pretty nice though. I'm giving away a tote at my site, stop by!
ReplyDeleteI like the figgy pudding because it makes me think of the white christmas's that my brother has been having since moving to the US a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteFiggy Pudding would be my fav, and I'm new to quilting :)
ReplyDeleteI want to get in on action too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a chance to enter your drawing. I think I would choose the Glace if I win. I'm an "old" sewer, but a new quilter! What a fun way to launch the new Sewn site.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Glace. I love to sew, mostly clothes for my twin daughters, but I would love to give a table runner a try.
ReplyDeleteI love them both so couldn't really pick one over the other. Now as for something about myself...have been quilting for a year now and love every minute of it. Seems to be a great stress reliever for me:)

eenie meenie mine-y moe! OK. GlacE! izazbz at yahoo dot com. This IS a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I do love both of them, but I'm leaning toward the Figgy Pudding. Something about myself? I could drink a slurpee every day of my life. Well, at least, every day of summer here. Thanks for such a fun giveaway!

I tried to leave a comment before, but I don't know if it took, so I'm hoping this isn't a duplicate. I'm am loving the Figgy Pudding. And something about me -- I have seven children.
ReplyDeleteI like the Glasce but the figgy pudding is growing on me the more I see it. It is not something I would normally pick, but sometimes that stretches our imaginations. Thanks for the great giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteMy pick - figgy pudding. Something about me, hmmm, I've just started learning to quilt and I'm very excited because I signed up for a clas on applique that starts next week.

Great fabric choices. Thanks for the giveaway. I think I like the Glace the best.
ReplyDeleteOhh, and I forgot. I became a follower. That is what is so great and the Sewn giveaway, it's helping me find so many great new blogs.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! I can't wait for SEWN to launch. I adore your country apron. I live in Texas too. I would love to win the figgy pudding so I can make my first ever christmas table runner for my first ever dining room table in my first ever house. Plus my b-day is June 1st and that would be a sweet present.

It seems my first comment didn't go through. I'm having some kind of weird computer error. Anyway I wanted to say I adore the country apron. I live in Texas too. I was born in California but we moved here the day after my 5th birthday (which happens to be June 1)Please put my name in the hat for the figgy pudding fabric and pattern. This would be perfect for my first house and first ever dining room table. I've never decorated for Christmas before since I've been an adult on my own and now that I have my own home I can.

My pick would be the Figgy Pudding. A little about me - my daughter is about to deliver her 3 child, my 3 grandbaby, a boy. From looking at her tonight I don't think it will be too much longer.
ReplyDeleteBoth those charm packs are great, but I would have to go with the Figgy Pudding. There is a tutorial to make baskets from charm squares (Pink Penguin blog in May of 2008); I would make some Christmas baskets and tuck goodies in it for special people next holiday season!
ReplyDeleteYumm I have to go withe Glace. I love to collect fabric! Thank you
ReplyDeleteI really love the Glace fabrics - very pretty. Thanks for hosting and I"m enjoying your blog.

ReplyDeleteI'm an online quilt shop owner and I LOVE fabric! I've been sewing/quilting for years but the fabric offerings are just getting better and better each year!
Come visit me to see what I'm giving away!
I think I like the Figgy Pudding the best, but I can never resist 3 sisters stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'm a native Texan quilter, now living in Tampa, Florida. I wish I had more friends to quilt with in this town, so do a lot of cyber quilting with friends I've made online. I homeschool my two kids and I'm madly in love with my husband.
I will become a faithful follower of this blog. I can't wait to check out the patterns.
OK, does this comment give me two entries thus far? I still need to go to my blog and blog about your new endevours.
Okie dokie, I just realized y'all are from Texas. I grew up in Kerrville, not far from San Antonio. My brother and sister still live there. I can't wait to go home this summer.
ReplyDeleteI blogged about your new site and business. Hopefully my fabric loving friends will come visit you.
I think I'm up to 4 entries now. If my friends show up, that will be 5 right? I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm broke. LOL I need new fabric.
Congratulations and best of luck to you. ((hug))
